This means that on top of block level integrity, there are integrity checks and bookmarking done on the file level as well as the database level. Having application awareness gives our customers the comfort level to know that data being replicated is not just being replicated but that it is useable and at a consistent state. Coupled together with this application awareness, another unique feature - application failover enables our customers to schedule a planned failover, shutdown a database and start it up at the DR all from our DR solution console.
